FERN

When Fern joined LBDR in 2019, sadly she was in very poor condition and needed considerable veterinary treatment.

Her skin in particular needs a lot of TLC as do her eyes. We worked with a veterinary college, that kindly agreed to help this poor soul who also has a hind leg problem. Despite all her discomforts she is a very sweet natured girl who loves a cuddle.

Fern moved into a forever foster home not long after joining LBDR where she is thriving. We are expecting more vet bills as we work on her skin a bit more as this will always be a work in progress.

As a rescue, we felt her being adopted would be very costly for the adopter and we wanted to make sure she gets all the veterinary treatment she will need. We considered it unfair for the home to take on these costs so by having Fern as a sponsor dog, we can make sure she will get everything she needs
