He has literally been my saviour
Sadly we lost the last of our family dogs in November last year , he left such a huge gap in our lives. Whilst my son had his own dog - I missed the love of a dog so much an thanks to LBDR , who do a fantastic job at rescuing animals an fostering them an prepping them for their furever homes , I was introduced to Bear.
He was a 16 month old Bulldog and he has literally been my saviour. He settled in immediately, certain little trust issues that we have conquered, or give into , probably the latter lol but even soooo I have LBDR to thank… they paired us up perfectly he is always with me xxx Thanks Guys … look forward to helping an adopting again in the future xx 😘

Totally Professional
This was our beloved Kari, we adopted her in 2012. We found LBDR to be totally professional, only concerned about their dogs welfare and care and extremely friendly and approachable.
We sadly lost Kari in 2020, but the years we were privileged to have her in our family, were extremely happy ones.
We miss our girl so much Even after we lost her, LBDR supported us with messages of sympathy and we drew comfort from that. Thank you to all of you xx

Very proud to be part of the LBDR family
Five years ago we adopted beautiful Ben (previously Romeo).
Large Breed Dog Rescue worked with us and more importantly our resident mastiff George every weekend, for over two months to make sure this beautiful young boy would be happy with us and that George would be happy accepting him into his home.
Sadly we lost our beloved George last year so when we were ready, we went on to adopt LBDR boy Bear and again we received the same amazing support and care from LBDR.
Ben has taken Bear under his paw and is teaching him everything he knows! We are truly privileged that these beautiful boys trusted us to be their furever family and this is all down to the expertise, knowledge and experience of LBDR who take the time to match the right family to the right dog.
From the application to the home checks to the assessments during the important meets and greets and we are very proud to be a part of the LBDR family.

Large Breed Dog Rescue really go above and beyond for all of these dogs.
All from different backgrounds with various needs. The dogs are vulnerable and frightened or sometimes health problems. Pushed from pillar to post, not knowing what is happening to them.
These all transform with care patience and understanding and love, into happy and healthy members of families.
LBDR take the time and care to perfectly match each dog with a new human family. Whether it be for fostering or adoption. The support you get is phenomenal.
We were blessed to be matched with Caesar and Loki. Who were and still are a massive part of our life.
We was a Foster fail as we decided to adopt both. There's ups and downs but the ups always out do the downs. LBDR truly deserve any support you can give them. You are all amazing and thank you

They are an amazing team
We have been lucky to adopt 2 Bullmastiffs from the LBDR.
We first met Sharon and the team in 2012 when we adopted Dylan and a few years later we adopted our beautiful Bailey.
Sadly both have now passed over to rainbow bridge.
The LBDR have been so supportive throughout they are an amazing team.
Hopefully we will adopt from them again in the future, couldn't recommend enough.
